2. Banh Beo (Water Fern Cake)

This water fern cake is made up of small steam rice pancake. Each one contains dried shrimps, deep-fried pork rind, scallions crispy fried shallots, fish sauce, and oil. Banh Beo is usually placed in a coin-sized ceramic saucer and served with dipping sauce. This cake is very popular with the locals.

4. Nem Lui (Grilled Pork)

Grilled pork is one of the most common foods in the world but in Hue, grilled pork is cooked in another way and becomes a unique dish of Hue. Instead of using bamboo skewers, as usual, people in Hue use lemongrass stalks to grill pork. Beef or pork is marinated with special sauces to make a distinct taste. 5. Mam Tom Chua

Mam Tom Chua is one of the specialties in Hue that many people have tasted will never forget. Unlike normal shrimp sauce, sour shrimp sauce in Hue has an orange color and the most special thing is that shrimps still have its own shape. Mam Tom Chua is the most suitable sauce for boiled pork.

6. Che (Sweet Soup)

Sweet soup is a part of Hue’s culture and the most popular local dessert you can find in Hue. There are many types of sweet soup in Hue such as lotus seeds sweet soup, seven colors sweet soup with a variety of ingredients, colors, forms and tastes.
